Our Most Exciting Event Yet:

The HydroGames

Saturday, September 14th at Huguenot Memorial Park

Become a part of this incredible team event to promote mental and physical health among active military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families!

This friendly competition is perfect for any level competitor, and highlights both water and land-based activities.  This isn’t just any competition—it’s a chance to unite, have fun, and show off your skills!

Team Based Event:

  • Gather your team of 4 or sign up individually to be added to a team.

  • Open to all skill levels.

  • Only one class, you can have all men, women or mixed of ages 16+ 

 

Competition Format:

  • 3x 30 minute rounds of competition.

  • Teams will earn points in each round.

  • A minimum of two persons per team must compete in each water challenge.

  • A minimum of two persons per team must compete in each land challenge.

Events: All Equipment Provided

  • Outrigger Canoeing + Land Based Fitness Challenge 

  • Stand-Up Paddleboarding + Land Based Fitness Challenge 

  • Surfing (can be on stomach, knees, or standing)  + Land Based Fitness Challenge​

 

Awards:

  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for teams with the most points throughout all 3 events.

FAQs

Are there different divisions/categories?

No! Every registrant of any age (16+), gender, skill level, etc. will be competing together.

Is there a minimum age to compete?

This event is recommended for ages 16+.  However, we will have some fun activities for kids under 16 during the event!

How do I set up my team?

Teams can be built however you'd like! As long as you have 4 people, they can be any age (16+), gender, or  skillset. 

What equipment will I need?

​All event equipiment will be provided, but feel free to bring:

  • Reusable Water Bottle

  • Paddle

  • Personal Flotation Device

 *Note: Participants are responsible for their personal equipment.

What if I don't have a team, but still want to compete?

You are more than welcome to sign up as an individual, and we will add you to a team!

How long is the competition?

Each event will be 30min, for a total competition time of 90min.  There will be up to 30min breaks between each event.

I want to support the HydroGames, but I can't compete.  How can I still get involved?

ARE V1 MAKO Raffle

Help support TFH1 and get a chance to win an ARE V1 Pro Carbon Mako, courtesy of ARE Outrigger World. The drawing will take place after the award ceremonies of TFH1HydroGames on Saturday September 14th, with the fund-raiser benefiting our Veteran & 1st Responder non-profit paddling and surfing programs that help our alumni prevent and deal with mental health issues, #watersaveslives.
