TFH1’s 4th Annual
Mission 50: Paddle for a Cause
Paddle With Us on
May 2nd, 2026!
Aloha! Get ready to paddle with purpose at this year’s Task Force Hydro1 Mission 50, an inspiring event dedicated to supporting our veterans, service members, first responders, and their families. Every dollar raised fuels the Task Force Hydro1 mission to prevent suicide through transformative water-based therapeutic activities.
Our paddlers understand the transformative power of water, and they’re committed to raising awareness and funds for the vital mission of Task Force Hydro1. They believe that #watersaveslives, and through their rigorous training and dedication, they aim to make a tangible impact on the mental health and well-being of our Ohana – our extended family.
Why Your Participation Matters
Your fundraising efforts directly empower us to:
• Provide hands-on, impactful experiences like surfboard shaping and outrigger canoeing.
• Offer free surf lessons and swim lessons to participants, fostering confidence and connection through water activities.
• Cover transportation of our equipment to out-of-town events, ensuring accessibility for all.
• Cover travel and event costs for those who can’t afford to participate.
• Purchase and maintain essential equipment to sustain our therapeutic programs.

Fundraising Goals & Incentives
• Minimum to Participate: Raise $500 to join the event.
• Personal Goal: Aim for at least $1,000 to unlock an entry for the Timi Pro Carbon Canoe raffle!
• Bonus Entries: For every additional $500 raised beyond $1,000, you’ll earn another entry into the raffle (only paddlers or support raising funds are eligible). The individual who raises the most will have an increased chance of paddling away with this one-of-a-kind canoe!
• Event Goal: Together, we’re aiming to raise $100,000 to support our life-saving mission.
Event Details:
• Week-Long Experience: Kick off the week with world-class Tahitian-run clinics to hone your skills, followed by an icebreaker BBQ to connect with fellow paddlers and build community.
• The Paddle: Join us for an exhilarating open ocean paddle from St. Augustine to Mayport, Florida. We’ll have 12 people per canoe, using the ARE Matahina (with additional canoes if needed). Following our tradition, we’ll mix crews among canoes to foster relationships and build Ohana within our community.
• Open to All: You don’t need to be a veteran, first responder, service member, or family member to join. Clubs from across the region are encouraged to participate!
• Post-Paddle Celebration: The event will conclude with a vibrant luau, featuring inspiring guest speakers and live music that will leave you energized and connected.
Why This Event Matters
Unlike many organizations, Task Force Hydro1 relies on this event as our primary funding source, not grants. Your participation directly supports our mission to save lives through water-based therapy and community-building.
